Our Mission
Mission Statement
My mission is to educate clients about their assets—what they have, why they have them, and how these assets may perform under different market conditions. I then build a plan focused on the most important criteria to the client, using combinations of assets to seek a balance of protection, income, and portfolio growth. Blended together, these assets give each client a working plan that promotes financial confidence.
Philosophy - Be Prepared!
David’s background in business and legal training shapes his approach to investing and estate planning. His experience as a combat veteran further influences his understanding of the inevitable challenges that every plan will encounter.
We prepare clients for various economic cycles.
Military Background
David served on active duty as an infantry soldier with the United States Army in the early 1980’s. Following the attacks on 9/11, David reenlisted in the Connecticut Army National Guard's 102nd Infantry Regiment.
David’s assignments included duty as a Specialist in the HHC Scout Platoon, as a Sergeant with the Fire Support (Forward Observer) Platoon, and as a Staff Sergeant with the Battalion Operations Section. After completing the High-Risk Personnel Security course, his primary assignment was as the Personal Security NCO for the Battalion Commander. David deployed to Afghanistan in 2010 as part of the 86Th Brigade Combat team.
Community Support
David earned his BA and MBA from Quinnipiac University. Following his military service he attended Quinnipiac University School of Law on a Veteran’s program. He tells the story of how Law School happened.
“When we came back from Afghanistan, I was helping one of my soldiers apply for a VA educational program. Most government programs are complicated and challenging to navigate and we were figuring out what he had to do to go to a vocational trade school. One day he said ‘How about you Sergeant Nastri? You earned the same benefits I did. What are you going to do with them?’
It was a good question, and I decided the answer was that I would use my benefits to go to law school.”
David started QU Law in 2014 as an evening student and graduated with honors in 2018. After passing the Connecticut Bar Exam, David became an accredited VA attorney. As an accredited VA attorney David can represent Veterans before the Veterans Administration. Since that time David has dedicated countless hours performing pro-bono services for veterans, assisting them with applications and appeals for injuries and illnesses that occurred during their military service.
When asked why he does that work for free, his answer is “These men and women are my brothers and sisters. I could never charge them for my help. I owe them this duty.”
